Beloved, with a perfect love, if God has placed you in my life in any way it is for your freedom.
He is Lord.
“As Lord, His sovereignty puts certain requirements on us, puts certain standards on us and certain demands on us and I think most of us are finding it challenging to respond to. And this morning in my conversations with the Holy Ghost, I was talking about him being Lord, and making decisions, and giving directives and issuing commands and having allegiances and God turned the direction of the conversation to his grievances with how many people love him and have addictions. Now I know that this is left field for most of you and you may even exempt yourself from this particularly if youre not chemically addicted to something (or so you think).
But, because I’m a deliverance man and I believe in the casting out of devils, one of the things you need to realize is demons are not just goo-goo goblins that hide in clouds and play trick-or-treats. A large species of demonic spirit actually affects your chemical behaviors. And, by the time a devil is set up in incampment in your physical chemistry then what ends up happening is that your body responds to what those devils have done to your brain. So you end up trying to deal with addictions by treating them as habits alone, when if you don’t deal with the spirit that sponsors the addiction you will end up in a repetitive cycle.
I don’t think that people break free, particularly believers break free from addiction by dealing with the habit.
You say “I’m going to stop eating so much”, “I’m going to stop smoking so much”, “I’m going to stop watching porn”, “Stop drinking”, or “Im going to stop” whatever, if you deal with it from a habitual standpoint (meaning from the outside-in) and you don’t deal with the internal aspects of it (which is that somehow some way some door some window or some invitation was made in your life where you invited a god, another god in your space, and that particular god made requirements of you that your body over a period time it started to respond to. You started to rely on cigarettes or marijuana or weed or alcoholism to give you peace, solace, and a reality away from your current reality.
So when you’re stressed you got to find a cigarette, when you’re stressed you got to go get drunk and inebriated or when you’re stressed or going through you find yourself having random-irresponsible sex with strangers. And our church is a house of war and we cast out devils (ye every one of us do) and so because of that we end up learning that even people (men, women) that have perverse sexual habits, many of them have to medicate themselves and many of them have to take poppers (which is a sexual pill that you take to increase your sexual sensations and all of that stuff). Many of them even if you talk to pornstars, my wife used to minister to porn stars and she used to minister to escorts and prostitutes and one of the things that we found was very common that in order for them to act well in their sexual abuses they had to be drunk/high, they had to have some type of pill to make it easier for them to behave sexually. Many people that have orgies, many people that have sexual rants and rumps (even in the church sector) they will tell you they’ve got to sniff something called poppers in order for their sex to feel better. (Now you’re gonna act like you don’t know what that is but about 262 of you know exactly what I’m talking about.)
The problem is we have got to have a serious talk about how lordship is the only way to begin to deal with addictions. Lordship will begin to deal with addictions.
You can get this accountability software for these porn issues (and I believe in them). You can let somebody know when you have had an alcoholic slip (and I believe in accountability. You are not going to find a stronger advocate of accountability than me) but what I’m telling you is at the root of your addictive behavior, which is a the major part of the spirit of this age…the book of Revelations talks about sorcery being a major force that we would have to deal with and sorcery (or the word for it in the Bible is ‘pharmakeia’ which is the word where we get pharmacy or medicinals…every old testament deity had certain formulas that they concocted to give people an outer body experience. And whenever you rely on a chemical: tobacco, alcohol, pornoghraphy…at the root of all of these, the lowest common denominator is, you have a lordship issue and though you need God you’ve not made him Lord. And by making him lord what you do is you start to remove yourself from all of the dependencies you need for victory and the dependencies you need for survival and the dependencies you need for peace. Think about what you are relying on addiction for: SURVIVAL, PEACE, FOCUS, …CONCENTRATION, COURAGE.

Let’s just start by saying we all have different convictions but convictions are mere reservations of mines for our lives.
I’m not concerned that you smoke or drink. Because the closer you get to the cross the more your appetites change. The more revelation you get in Jesus the more things he will start freeing you from. Freedom is found in making him Lord over your lives. Yes, I have a problem with anything in any of my friends lives who holds them in a bondage that covers up or has the potential to cover up what God is trying to get out. I hate bondage. I hate it. Anything that looks like it or has the potential to be in it.
And if there was a choice to begin to allow someone to court me, ideally, he must be free and/or in his process to get free. He can’t love something I hate and expect to rule over me because he wouldn’t have the strength to steward both MY destiny and his. And I care about my future children too much to not allow them the chance to be free from my habits and demons as so should my future spouse. And I will not be unequally yoked again in the future because that is placing myself in a dead environment or dead relationship that hinders my spiritual growth and or muzzles my gifts on the expense of loving someone who may or may not ever want to change.
As I can only speak for myself however,
Me quitting my tobacco/weed/pill abuse (ect.) habit was a form of me putting away childish things.
1 Corinthians 13:11:
“When I was a child, I spoke” (or smoked) “and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.”
However that strength did not come anywhere but from deliverance and community. As a person of reason, I can understand how hard it is to quit a habit without a proper system of support (with accountability and discipleship). We are in cities where the masses condemn those who are being called out to the point where one conforms for the comfort of people at the expense of their own desire to come out from among them. Being in a prophetic environment and in Godly ordained relationships is a place of health where things could be exposed and casted out and where community shows functionality and an alternative to the things that fill your recreational time. When I was freed from it I still had and still have the choice to go back. But is it most beneficial for me to go back?
Heavens no. Why would I have gotten so close to living in freedom in which have experienced freedom on such a great level and see it BENEFICIAL to myself or my bloodline to go back. God isn’t gunna condemn me for having a blunt and a 40 oz because all things are lawful and the blood covers a multitude of sins but-why?
“You say, “I am allowed to do anything”–but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”–but not everything is beneficial.” 1 Corinthians 10:23 NLT
“All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify.” 1 Corinthians 10:23 NASB
And if it does not profit anything for me why would I continue in doing certain things in my recreational time just because I CAN. Why would I prostitute my salvation to exploit His grace in the indevors of living under the law? Did he not come to free me from the law? Yes, in moderation nothing will kill you now, but your freedom and the thousands of people connected to you who are waiting for you to be free is not worth the sacrifice (in the long term) of your lack of self discipline in what you can control. It simply is not profitable-it keeps you bound-and any bondage keeps you broke and broken down. Why lose your soul wanting to party with the spirit of poverty?
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36
(As such, what profits a singer who gains a blunt but loses his own voice?)

If it doesn’t profit me anything to do everything why do certain things because everybody in my circle of dysfunction is doing it?
Do I mind? Am I bothered by?
Why would I allow myself to be worried about the responsibility you have for your freedom? Why would I be bothered about you choosing to partake in lawful circumstances? Beloved, at the end of the day you are going to do whatever you set your heart out to do. Whatever you set your heart on. Im unbothered because Jesus already gave you freedom and if you chose to be liberated you can do so. I can’t be bothered by a symptom. I can’t be bothered by a thing already fixed. And I’m not in the business to act as Jezebel to control what anyone does. But, I can’t be in places or spaces where death abounds because I personally don’t want to die.
One can stop smoking and drinking yet still be bound until they are educated on what that even means. There are many addictions that are only symptoms. The symptom don’t concern me. The spirits behind the symptoms are what will cause a future marriage to fail and the sins of the parents bloodline (of which some are the demons the parents of our generation didn’t deal with) to fall upon the kids bringing in a whole group of individuals in the earth who will inevitably be worse off than those parents ever was.
The spirits behind the addictions, the things people don’t know are even in them, in their ignorance is still bound by the strongman that was hidden under the symptoms and mental barriers that numbs people from condemning themselves through the reasons why they do it. Knowing the reason behind it can at least expose the hidden toe of the strongman and then one can begin denouncing and casting out “spoiling his goods” the things the strongman brought with him including the symptoms of addiction and generations worth of childhood neglect, rejection, abandonment and abuse.
Conclusively, these are towers of strongholds keeping the mind bound to the excuses of such exhibits:
A. It is not bad for you and it is natural and it is legal.
-Yet, our parents, aunts, uncles, ect barely got free from the last mass epidemic of abuse cycles of self medication that we are reaping in our adulthood such as depression and failed relationships from cycles of abuse we may or may not have seen people of the generation before us act out. It ain’t crack, or is it? As far as legality is concerned drugs that are legal such as codeine, Adder-all (a popular stimulant), OxyContin, Ritalin, and Xanax to name a few although fully legal and regulated still are being abused. Is it not of the same spirit of addiction? Thus, it is the same epidemic and the same results. Our generation has become worse parents than their parents due to trying to prove to themselves that they can be better parents than them. Sayings such as “at least I don’t smoke crack” are used to justify their habits for example. In such, they have become a worser version of their parents out of judgement of their shared addictions from the bloodline.
B. It helps my anxiety.
-It may calm your nerves but it is not long term treatment. And why treat something God did not give to you in the first place when you can just return to the sender? Why live years in a state of intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations by choosing to claim this state as your own and using all types of chemicals that on the only temporarily calms on the micro cellular level. If the devil if the copycat we know him as believers to be, drugs that claim to treat anxiety were only created so that one can be caught in a cycle of addiction to push more people into poverty so that of medicinal (natural and laboratory-made)/pharmaceutical companies can steal the profit of God’s people. The devil copied the blueprint of deliverance that God ordained to be permanent healing and perverted it as a temporary fix scheme. Instead of quick fixes, why not run to God who is the mind regulator has the ability to, just as medicine does on a cellular level, go in the body he created and heal the mind through divine wisdom in bioengineering and make perfect every warped formulation causing anxiety in your body’s cellular psychology (& in the same process can He pull down strongholds).
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” 2 Corinthians 10:4
C. It makes me more creative
-But you’re more creative under the influence of the Holy Spirit! The devil never created anything. He may imitate and perverse but he can not create. It is not in his nature. This idea that Satan is creative in the music industry stemmed from the scriptures that speak on Lucifer being a fallen angel that had been given gifts of pipes. He did not give this gift to himself-God gave it to him. Therefore establishing God as the master creator of all genres of music in which the devil continuously tries to perverse through musicians and artists by deceiving them into believing if there are not under the influence they can not create. Under the influence such as away from the influence of the power source who supplies all aspects and types of divine creativity. Feeling writer’s block? Go to the creator not the imitator. Feeling like you don’t know what to sing or how to play it? Go to the head creator not the imitator. It is only logical to chose to go to the right source of strength. Go to Him and he can make you as the craftsman who through the Holy Spirit had wisdom, knowledge and understanding of never ending wells of creativity.
